PULSE 2019: BUY ART

What’s better than a day at the beach? Maybe add some art, a little food, and some good vibes. That’s what you got at the 15th anniversary of PULSE Miami Beach. Fairgoers were greeted by PULSE Prize Award Nominee Ralph Ziman’s SPOEK 1 set to the background of beautiful Miami Beach. Upon entering the venue PULSE’s familiar open, airy, bright set up ensued. Inside we were greeted by DARKART gallery from Moscow whose, “mission is to find promising local artists in different countries and showcase their works at the most prestigious venues.”

Halfway into the venue we were treated to delectable bites provided by the Eden Rock’s Malibu Farms restaurant and some tasty cocktails provided by Tanduay Rum and Sipsmith Gin. Strolling around was The Pop Cycle Bar serving up delicious alcohol infused popsicles to keep us well hydrated… and mildly intoxicated. PULSE’s relaxed unpretentious atmosphere is a great setting to spark conversation. Which is exactly what happened when we ran into PBT’s inaugural interviewee and PULSE Prize Nominee Richard Kurtz. Great conversation, art, the beach, and food, it was sizzling and delicious. Looking forward to doing it all again next year, until then, BUY ART.
