Realm of the Unreal

Last Saturday, December the 7th, Pork Belly Times attended the opening of Federico Uribe’s “Realm of the Unreal” at Now Contemporary Art in Wynwood. Uribe, a native Colombian, uses common objects to create incredible figures, animals mostly, with a level of craftsmanship that is simply amazing. The Realm of the Unreal is truly unreal, Uribe utilized the entire gallery space to display 7 years worth of work. For the event, Federico wore a zebra costume designed by Sean Fountain of WILDCHILD WORLD. Located at 175 NW 25th St, Now Contemporary Art is on the same block as Wood Tavern. The Realm of the Unreal exhibition runs through December.
